In recent years, the application of nanotechnology in agriculture has emerged as a tool of great sustainable use for crop improvement. Nanoparticles are characterized by being extremely small and having a large specific surface area, they can provide better absorption and transport of nutrients in plants.

In search of more sustainable solutions in agriculture that improve yields, the need for this project arises, the general objective of which is the design of a new innovative product based on OPS iron nanoparticles, evaluating its effect on the performance of horticultural crops.

The project's team of researchers is made up of CTAEX staff along with SMALLOPS.
