At Smallops we produce carbon-encapsulated zerovalent iron nanoparticles from olive oil residues, using hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) techniques.
This technique allows the creation of nanoparticles at a low cost compared to other techniques for the production of metallic nanoparticles. In addition, we obtain a product with up to 6 environmental applications.
