PRODUCTION METHOD OF CARBON ENCAPSULATED IRON OPS-NANOPARTICLES
LOW COST METHOD
OPS are produced by a method of hydrothermal carbonization (HTC), the production method of these encapsulated magnetic nanoparticles consists of heating a liquid with organic compounds in a closed container, in such a way that energy is saved by avoiding evaporating its water content since as the temperature is increased once it reaches its point after boiling, more pressure begins to be generated because it is a closed container that continues to increase its temperature progressively. In this way, carbonaceous compounds are divided into smaller ones until if a metal is found, it is reduced and carbon is deposited around it, forming nanoparticles encapsulated in carbon.
When we talk about OPS we talk about an innovative product. These carbon-encapsulated iron nanoparticles are obtained using vegetable water as raw material, a residue whose treatment causes great problems. From the treatment of this residue we create a product with up to 6 environmental applications, which directly involves the circular economy.
