Smallops is a spanish company that develops and manufactures nanoparticles for various industrial and environmental applications.

Founded in 2020, it has stood out for its focus on sustainability and the circular economy, transforming waste into valuable products through high-tech processes such as hydrothermal carbonization.

Its founders, who launched the company in 2020 after completing their studies in Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (LEINN), the Team Academy program at the Mondragón University Business School (MUE), are:

  • Iñigo Monreal – CEO & Co-Founder. Graduated from LEINN and with an MBA from The Power Business School. He has also completed various courses on prototyping and MVP development using Agile methodologies from Mondragón University, as well as courses on Digital Intelligence, Leading People, Project Management and Negotiation, Persuading People, and Time Management from Harvard Business School.
  • María Jara – COO & Co-Founder. Graduated from LEINN (National Institute of Technology) and a Marketing Expert (Digital Marketing) from The Power Business School. She also holds several certificates in “Leading People,” “Time Management,” “Project Management,” “Negotiation,” “Digital Intelligence,” and “Persuading Others” from Harvard Business School.
  • Rubén Escudero – CTO & Co-Founder. Graduated in Chemical Engineering and with a Master’s in Sustainable Management and Water Technologies from the University of Alicante, he also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate from Summun Consulting and a certificate in Digital Intelligence, Leading People, Project Management, Negotiation, Persuading People, and Time Management from Harvard Business School. He is also an expert in Olive By-Product Management and Related Industries from the International University of Andalusia (UNIA).
