Smallops presents its innovations and products at South Summit 2025

Smallops participated in South Summit 2025, held in Madrid from June 4th to 6th, one of the world’s leading events on innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. This edition provided us with a valuable opportunity to present our technological solutions to investors, companies, and institutions within the innovative ecosystem.

During the event, we shared our key products: carbon-encapsulated iron nanoparticles (OPS), designed to increase biogas production efficiency in industrial plants, and BioFulvik+, a liquid concentrate rich in fulvic acids and potassium for use as an agricultural biostimulant. Both products are obtained through an innovative process for the valorization of olive oil waste and by-products based on hydrothermal carbonization.

We also presented the Hidroxiolea project we are developing, co-financed by the Regional Government of Extremadura and ERDF funds. This project seeks to generate scientific and technological knowledge and tools that contribute to the development of innovative solutions for obtaining natural antioxidants from waste and byproducts of the olive oil industry, abundant in the region, such as alperujo and alpechin, enhancing their applicability in various industries and promoting sustainability and efficiency in the olive oil sector. Extraction is carried out according to circular economy criteria and is part of our commitment to responsible innovation and zero waste.

South Summit has also been a space to forge new alliances and share experiences with other entrepreneurs, companies, and organizations committed to the ecological transition. At Smallops, we would like to thank everyone who visited our booth and expressed interest in our solutions.

We continue working to prove that where others see limits, the potential for change is born.
