‘Mallas OPS’ is the project being worked on by three entrepreneurs seeking solutions to climate change through science.
Rubén Escudero, Íñigo Monreal, and María Jara are members of the ‘Smallops’ team, a startup based in Badajoz that has been working since 2020 to find solutions to climate change through nanoparticles.
Rubén Escudero (Elche, 1995) has a degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree in Sustainable Management and Water Technologies from the University of Alicante (UA).
The Elche native, who is responsible for the more technical side of the company, has promoted ‘Mallas OPS’, a project aimed at the industrial treatment of contaminated water, cleaning and purification. It recently won Mares Circulares, the competition on the circular economy in marine spaces promoted by Coca-Cola.
