The acting Regional Minister of Economy, Employment, and Digital Transformation, Guillermo Santamaría, visited the companies TROIL Vegas Altas, Complus, and Smallops—located in Valdetorres—this Wednesday. These three closely interconnected business initiatives represent the industrial development model promoted by the Government of Extremadura: applied innovation, circular economy, sustainability, and value creation from within the region. During the visit, Santamaría expressed his gratitude for the welcome and highlighted the work carried out by these companies, describing them as “very clear examples of where we want to steer the business policy of María Guardiola’s Government: supporting projects that innovate, transform knowledge into economic activity, and generate added value from our own resources.”
COMPLUS AND SMALLOPS, NEW COMPANIES JOINING FOODLAB
Two of the visited companies, Complus and Smallops, have recently joined the FoodLab program. This initiative, promoted by the Government of Extremadura in collaboration with the Agri-Food Technological Center of Extremadura (CTAEX), is backed by a 250,000-euro investment. Its goal is to support companies through the most complex stages of the innovation process and strengthen their connection to the market.
